Zambia Red Cross Society is a humanitarian Organization that was established by an Act of Parliament under the Societies Act Cap 307. The collective plan of action for the Society is to tackle major humanitarian and developmental challenges in the Country, with the Society being committed to saving lives and changing mind sets. The Society has been in existence since 1966 after taking over from the British Red Cross Society, two years after Zambia gained its Independence from Northern Rhodesia in 1964.
