2023 ANNUAL REPORT
Zambia Red Cross Society is an Organization that was established by an Act of Parliament under the Societies Act Cap 307. The collective plan of action for the Society is to tackle major humanitarian and developmental challenges in the Country, with the Society being committed to saving lives and changing mindsets. The Society has been in existence since 1966 after taking over from the British Red Cross two years after Zambia gained its independence.
ZRCS’ major role is to complement Government in providing humanitarian services to the most vulnerable and restoring dignity to victims of disasters, be it man-made or natural disasters. The Society anchors itself on 7 Fundamental Principles. ZRCS-Annual-Report-2023
