EMPOWERING ZRCS VOLUNTEERS IN YOUTH WORK.
It is #VolunteerSpotLight Wednesday again!
On November 4th, 2024, our dedicated Zambia Red Cross Society (ZRCS) volunteers joined an impactful Youth Work Practice Training hosted by the Association of Youth Work Studies, in collaboration with partners from the United Kingdom. Held at the Zambia College of Pensions and Insurance Trust in Lusaka, this four-day training featured organizations like Save the Children and Child Fund.
Our volunteers engaged in sessions on Introduction to Youth Work Practice, Youth Work Models and Theories, Youth Work in a Global Context, and the Youth Work Competency Framework. Through thoughtful discussions and shared insights, they reaffirmed that Youth Work is a critical profession for uplifting young people in our communities.
ZRCS is thrilled that our volunteers gained valuable skills and knowledge, which were celebrated with certificates at the official launch of the Association of Youth Work Studies on November 8. These youth workers are now even more empowered to inspire and transform lives!
