Zambia Red Cross Society, has, in response to the drought, worked worked with Ministry of Community Development and Social Services and the Ministry of Agriculture through their extension services, in identifying farmers affected by the drought. These are small scale farmers whose livelihood is centred on crop production as a result of conducive geographic and hydrological characteristics of their locality, in the Wet lands. Zambia Red Cross Society has supported a total number of 575 beneficiaries, with agriculture inputs.
