
ZRCS delegation comprised National President Martin Ng’onga; Secretary General & CEO Cosmas Sakala; IFRC Regional CSP Coordinator Dr. Joseph Sereki; Health Board Chairperson Muzala Kapina; Netherlands Red Cross Country Representative Jo Lind Roberts Sene; and Communication & PR Manager Esther Phiri.
Receiving the delegation, the Vice President thanked the National Society for the continuous support rendered, describing the collaboration as a symbiotic relationship between DMMU, the Vice Presidents Office and ZRCS. She commended the Society’s response in four key areas:
-Support to communities affected by climate-related shocks
-Strengthening epidemic preparedness and response through delivery of water and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) interventions to affected communities
-Provision of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services
-Deployment of volunteers for rapid response initiatives
In response, ZRCS National President reiterated the importance of submitting half-yearly reports to promote transparency and accountability, reaffirming the Society’s commitment to strong partnerships and effective humanitarian service delivery.
